The dead are among us - Chapter 9 - Kill-de-sac

As Josh looks up at the bandit reloading the gun, he see's him dart into cover. Josh is panicked and unsure of what to do so decides to run into one of the houses. He goes into Geoffs house that has Geoff, Ruth and Brad inside. Marlon sees this aswell so tries to make a run for the front door. He hears Dean shout "MARLON, WATCH OUT!" Marlon turns and gets shot in the middle of the chest by the bandit with the gun. Luckily for him, he was wearing his bullet proof vest under his t-shirt that saves his life. The impact of the shot however does send him falling to the ground. Geoff and Brad reach out of the doorway to grab Marlon and pull him into the house.  The 4 of them lift up Marlons clothing to check for any damage but can't find any. Ruth, Brad and Geoff try to get Marlon upstairs so he'll be safe. Josh stays to keep watch over the house.


Colton, Wendy, Aisha and Jamilia are all watching from the bedroom window of the house next door. Lewis and Luke are both hiding outside whilst Luke is sobbing over the death of his sister. Dean Sees the Bandit with the gun that just shot Kate and Marlon and runs towards him. His shotgun is inside the house and doesn't have a melee weapon on him. He runs and before the bandit can raise his gun he swings a right handed punch at the bandit that connects on the side of his face. The bandits gun goes flying out of his hand and lands in the grass around 5 meters away. Dean is on top and starts to put his hands around the bandits throat to strangle him. The bandit manages to connect with a punch however and spins to now get on top of Dean. He now starts to unload with some punches on Dean. Dean is bleeding from his nose and his face is starting to get bruised and battered. The Bandit now tries to strangle him. Dean is starting to gasp for air and looks like he's getting lifeless. Suddenly in Deans peripheral vision of his nearly closed eyes he sees a figure run behind the bandit. It's Josh and he has his axe. The bandit hasn't seen or heard him as he approaches because he is so focused on Dean. Josh swings his arms back clenching the axe with all his might and swings forward with it. It connects with the middle of the spine of the bandit. Dropping him lifeless to the ground. 


Meanwhile there are 2 more Bandits that are in the Cul-de-sac. One of them has spotted where Lewis and Luke where hiding and has approached them. Luke notices him creeping up and warns Lewis. Lewis raises his gun and the bandit rushes him. He isn't trained with guns so panics and fires 3 shots at him quickly. Luckily one of them connected and penetrates through his torso. He starts bleeding profusely on the ground.


Colton is with Wendy, Aisha and Jamilia in the bedroom. He is the only one peering out of the window and says "Oh god. That was Lewis. I couldn't quite see what happened round the corner. There were 2 or 3 shots fired. I think Dean is okay as he was also being attacked. I can see Josh has also helped him into the other house. A small bang is heard at the bottom of the house. Aisha says "That sounded like the door shut downstairs. I don't know who that could be. Everyone is accounted for." "What if it's one of those masked guys?" Says Wendy. CREEEEK. They hear the creaking coming from one of the floorboards on the bottom of the stairs. Colton open the bedroom door and slowly tip toes across towards the stairs. He peers round the corner to see a bandit walking up. The bandit makes eye contact with Colton and tries to run towards him. Wendy screams "AHHHHH". Colton is kicking at the man who is in possession if knife trying to keep him away. He gets a few small cuts on his leg where the knife slightly catches him when all of a sudden. BOOM! Lewis shoots the Bandit in the head.


Colton, Wendy, Aisha and a crying Jamilia run down the stairs over the dead body. They have now cleared out all the bandits. Colton walks over to Luke who is crying by the side of the house to try and console him. "Colton! Watch out!" Shouts Josh who spots one of the undead running at Colton. It tackles him to the ground and tries to attack him. Luke manages to kick it off and stamps on its head until it explodes. "That was one of the bandits. You must not have got it in the head" says Luke. Josh notices the other bandit that he had killed and sees that it is just turning into one of the undead. He sees it try to get up and grabs his axe. He chops into its head killing it. Everyone manages to get there gear and get to their feet. They all go outside to try and move the bodies.


"Uh, guys. You might want to see this" says Geoff. Everyone walks up to Geoff who's standing at the lookout area near the entrance. They look over the cars to see a horde of the undead coming straight for the Cul-de-sac. "Oh shit. It must have been the noise" says Dean as he raises his shotgun. "NO, We have to go now. Forget trying to fight them and forget out stuff, we have to get out" shouts Marlon. They all turn around and run as the horde of around 50 of the undead are heading straight for the Cul-de-sac.

The sound of a gunshot has echoed around the nearby area. Josh opens his tear filled eyes and takes his finger off the trigger. He thinks to himself "It sounded like it came from down the road towards the Nisa shop." The dead are among us - Chapter 7 - Gear up

A day after the Tesco run, Brad is outside on the small road in the blocked off cul-de-sac kicking a football against a small brick wall next to the alley way. Aisha comes out with Jamalia and asks if her daughter can join him. Aisha is a small woman. She, like Marlon is of Black British ethnicity. She has long black hair and is wearing blue denim jeans and a dark grey t-shirt. Her daughter Jamalia is only about 10 years old. She Has slightly more curly hair and has slightly chubby cheeks. Brad says "Sure she can play. And we'll definitely be safe as we've got Colton who is watching over the alley way. Colton has a deck chair that is raised on a small makeshift platform made from wooden pallets. He can overlook the nearest bit of the alley however is corners off for a bit where it becomes not visible. He can also see the road that it leads onto. This is the main road that has the Nisa shop that they have used a few times for supply runs.  After playing for about 10 minute,

Josh is walking on the streets of Kidderminster at a fast pace, with his destination of travel unknown. He has his right hand clenched around his bloody woodcutters axe that is dripping onto the floor. Behind him, the lifeless body of a man that had turned. He has a big gauging wound on the side of his head, matching that of the size and shape of the sharp tip of Josh's axe. He thinks to himself "Where the heck do I even go now? I'm alone. I've got enough food to last me a couple of days at most before I have to get more." As he is walking he is looking at the surrounding, scanning all the places where the undead could be hiding. He notices a few houses that he walks past have people in but doesn't feel the need to approach. He thinks "I wonder where all the others have gone.
